The search for the next contender for the women’s bantamweight championship continued Saturday with another exciting main event from Yas Island. At UFC Fight Island 4, Holly Holm and Irene Aldana looked to be the next in line for Amanda Nunes.

Holly Holm has long been at the top of the mountain in the bantamweight division and last time out showcased her skills against Raquel Pennington. Reminding the MMA world that her hunt for championship gold is not over just yet.

Irene Aldana was looking to take her MMA career to the next level. And to get the mixed martial arts world talking when it comes to who was next for Amanda Nunes. What better way to do so with a fight with a former champion like Holly Holm, under the bright lights of a Fight Island main event?

Holly Holm’s movement and her left hand caused issues on the feet for Irene Aldana, which helped Holly secure one takedown every round. The former women’s UFC Bantamweight champion dictated the pace of this main event and stayed aggressive right until the final bell, which is what secured Holly Holm the unanimous victory.

Here is how the pros reacted to the UFC Fight Island 4 main event.
