The main card seemed to be in shambles before we even went live at UFC Vegas 7, with many of the fights being switched and/or cancelled. The glue holding the event together seemed to be the main event between the former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar (who made his bantamweight debut) and the number-five ranked Pedro Munhoz. Rightfully so, as these two talented fighters wanted to put their names in the title conversation.

The amount of times this fight was cancelled and rebooked only hyped it up each time, and we were lucky to get Edgar vs. Munhoz as a main event in the end. With both men needing a win to rise up the rankings, it felt like we were in for something special, and Edgar and Munhoz delivered!

A fast-paced fight, the main event battle was a great showcase on how exciting the 135lb division is. The technique both men implemented Saturday night resulted in a fun chess match, albeit a violent one.

Right to the final bell, Edgar and Munhoz were landing punches. Impressive for sure, in what should be (and was, incidentally) a Fight of the Night effort.

Here are the reactions from the pros to this five round classic, which saw Frankie Edgar getting the victory by split decision.
