Undefeated flyweight star was victorious at Bellator 243, now signs a new deal.

As announced in a press release distributed Thursday by Bellator PR, Valerie Loureda has been signed to a multi fight deal. The young flyweight and social media darling recently picked up her third win with the promotion, knocking out Tara Graff at Bellator 243.

“We are pleased to announce a multi-year, multi-fight deal with Valerie Loureda as she will continue to compete in the Bellator cage,” Thursday’s press release stated.

The deal comes only days after what Loureda credits as her biggest win to date, due to the adversity she faced in the lead up to the fight. Something she spoke to Cageside Press about recently, revealing that she’d been involved in a car crash a day before traveling to Connecticut for the fight. Loureda was victorious at Bellator 243 thanks to a buzzer beater finish with only seconds remaining in the second round when she knocked out opponent Graff. Officially, the end was registered at 5:00 of Round 2.

Loureda, now 3-0 is only 22 years old and has been one of the hot topics of MMA since she joined the promotion back in 2019. An inspiration to many, while also attracting the usual “haters” Loureda has not let anything stop her success inside the cage.

Deal signed, the fighter celebrated in true Loureda fashion — twerking in celebration in a clip posted on social media.

The Miami native of Cuban descent is likely to remain one of Bellator’s biggest names for the foreseeable future. With two knockouts to her credit in only three appearances, Loureda looks to return to the cage by the end of 2020. A member of the coveted American Top Team, Loureda has trained with the likes of Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Jorge Masvidal.
