Gian Villante (17-11 MMA, 7-8 UFC)

Light Heavyweight (205lbs):  7-8 (UFC)

Heavyweight (265lbs): 0-0  (UFC), Scheduled to make UFC debut

Gian Villante is making his UFC debut at heavyweight at UFC on ESPN 12. A New York native, Villante has been under quarantine for the past few months, making training more a little more difficult. Gian, who is a 7-year UFC veteran has fought a lot of bigger names within the UFC’s light heavyweight division. But Villante has had a rough run in the UFC’s205lb class and is going to turn 36 years old in a couple of months. So Villante is going to take his 6’2″ frame to the heavyweight division, and what better time to do that then now.

Villante has not fought since last February in a first-round loss to Michal Oleksiejczuk and is 2-2 since the beginning of 2018. On June 27 Villante will be expected to hit the ground running in the heavyweight division when he takes on Maurice Greene, who is very much a heavyweight at 6’7″ tall and possessing an 82″ reach.
