Mickey Gall is finally set to return to action, and it will come in an interesting stylistic match-up with Mike Perry. ESPN was first to report that the pair will throw down on June 27. Perry later confirmed the news on social media.

“All my opponents have been top tier for the past 3 years. The best welterweights out there. So I’ve struggled a bit. To have a weak ass opponent like [Mickey Gall] for a real paycheck is a dream come true. Lol thanks UFC,” Perry posted on his official Twitter account.

Gall (6-2) last fought in August 2019, picking up a hometown win against Salim Touahri at UFC Newark. Overall, Gall is 4-2 inside the octagon, with additional wins over George Sullivan, Sage Northcutt, and yes, CM Punk.

The New Jersey native was linked to fights with both Carlos Condit and Alex Oliveira over the past six months or so, only for both to fall through.

Mike Perry (13-6) last fought in December, where he was finished in violent fashion by Geoff Neal at UFC 245. Recently, he made headlines by claiming only his girlfriend will corner him during fights.

Having one corner isn’t unheard of. Hopefully, it works out better than when Diego Sanchez tried it.

The UFC’s June 27 card was recently approved by the NSAC and is expected to take place at the UFC Apex.
