Bellator’s first card of a weekend double-header went down Friday in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Bellator 239: Ruth vs. Amosov. Welterweight prospect Ed Ruth was looking to graduate to contender status with a win over the dangerous Yaroslav Amosov, while another top prospect, heavyweight Tyrell Fortune, was also in action on the main card.
Earlier in the evening, however, a rather deep set of preliminary fights got things going. Among the standouts, Jackson-Wink MMA light heavyweight prospect Christian Edwards was back in action, while Bellator kickboxing champ Denise Kielholtz faced Kristina Williams.
