ONE Championship kicked off 2020 with A New Tomorrow, which took place in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, January 10. Topped by a flyweight Muay Thai title fight, the event also saw a couple of ONE’s top prospects in action: multi-sport champion Stamp Fairtex, who was continuing on in her MMA career against Puja Tomar of India, and Thanh Le, who faced off with Japan’s Ryogo Takahashi.

Both Fairtex and Le picked up big wins Friday. Le (11-2), for his part, made it three knockouts in a row at A New Tomorrow. He snapped the eight-fight win streak of Takahashi, a Shooto champion, with a first-round knockout.

Stamp Fairtex (4-0) remained perfect in MMA, meanwhile, with a TKO of Tomar that saw Stamp prove she had adequate skill to hang on the ground as well as the feet.

The main event saw Rodtang Jitmuangnon successfully defend his flyweight Muay Thai championship against Jonathan Haggerty. That bout ended with a third-round TKO.
