The PFL finished out its second season with a Championship card topped by women’s lightweight queen Kayla Harrison.
Ringing in the New Year at Madison Square Garden in New York City was the Professional Fighters League. For the second straight year, the PFL held their season finale at the Hulu Theater inside MSG. The PFL Championship 2019 edition, however, was a little different than the 2018 outing. For one, it was headlined by breakout star Kayla Harrison.
Harrison, a two-time Olympic gold medal winner in Judo, has long been primed to be the PFL’s biggest star. A media darling, savvy on camera, deadly in the cage. While she didn’t get the big finish she hoped for at the PFL Championship on New Year’s Eve, she improved to a perfect 7-0 with a five-round dismantling of Larissa Pacheco.
Stealing the spotlight on Tuesday night, however, was Natan Schulte. Last year’s lightweight champion earned a second million on New Year’s Eve 2019. It was no easy task, however. Schulte found himself in an all-out war with Loik Radzhabov, with both men taking a ton of punishment across five rounds.
