UFC Returning to Norfolk, Virginia on February 29, 2020

The octagon will head to Norfolk, Virginia for the second time in 2020, with UFC Norfolk taking place in February.

The UFC is returning to Norfolk, Virginia this February. In an announcement made Friday, promotion officials revealed that they would head back to the east coast city on February 29, 2020. No fights were announced for the card, expected to be a Fight Night event. Broadcast plans have yet to be revealed for the show.

The octagon first visited Norfolk in 2017, when it brought a Fight Night event to town topped by lightweights Dustin Porier vs. Anthony Pettis. The event drew in 8,442 fans at the Ted Constant Convocation Center. Poirier would get past the ex-champ in the main event, the start of a four-fight win streak that would culminate with an interim title win, and a shot against Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The promotion, in Las Vegas, NV for its final PPV event this year, is coming off a successful UFC on ESPN event in nearby Washington, D.C. this past weekend.
