A suspect in the disappearance of Aniah Blanchard was apprehended in Florida overnight and is pending extradition to Alabama on charges of kidnapping.

After an arrest warrant was issued Thursday, the only suspect named in the disappearance of Aniah Blanchard, stepdaughter of Walt Harris, was arrested overnight. Auburn Police confirmed Friday that “Ibraheem Yazeed was taken into custody in Pensacola, Florida, by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, assisted by deputies with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department.”

The arrest took place at approximately 11PM Thursday, with Yazeed being booked in the early morning hours Friday. The suspect, wanted for kidnapping, was just over the Alabama state line in Florida, according to a local news report by WBRC.

Video of the arrested posted by WBRC shows 30-year-old Yazeed on a stretcher, being loaded onto an ambulance. Court records obtained by Cageside Press show that he is being held without bond. Per Auburn Police, the suspect is pending extradition to Lee County, Alabama, where he will be charged with kidnapping first degree.

Blanchard, stepdaughter of UFC heavyweight Walt Harris, has not been seen or heard from since October 23. She was last seen at a Chevron gas station, where security cameras showed Yazeed at approximately the same time. Blanchard’s abandoned, damaged vehicle was found two days later.

Per WBRC’s report, Ibraheem Yazeed was free on bond for attempted murder, two counts of first-degree kidnapping and two counts of first degree robbery stemming from a February 2019 case in Montgomery.
