UFC San Antonio had some appealing parts sprinkled throughout the card, but the prelims certainly did not deliver, with all seven fights reaching the final bell.
The card was headlined by a matchup of top welterweight contenders Leon Edwards and Rafael dos Anjos. Edwards is tearing his way through to division in search of a rematch with the only man to beat him in his last 10 fights, champion Kamaru Usman. Rafael dos Anjos was seeking his second UFC title after moving up to the welterweight. He’s 4-2 at 170 pounds, falling to the division’s top two fighters: Usman and Colby Covington.
Longtime veteran Aleksei Oleinik stepped into the cage for the 71st time in his professional career against Walt Harris, who has 20 fights to his name. Disgraced NFL All-Pro Greg Hardy took part in his sixth professional fight against Juan Adams, who was looking to bounce back from his first professional loss.
