BTC 5: Typhoon Full Lineup, Featuring Two Championship Bouts

This weekend BTC (Burlington Training Center) takes their fifth event to Windsor, Ontario, featuring the super-lightweight and middleweight title fights.

On March 9, BTC 5: Typhoon heads to Windsor, Ontario’s Central Park Athletics, headlined by Kyle Prepolec (11-5) and Curtis Demarce (18-14), who fight for the super-lightweight crown. As the co-main event, for the vacant 185lbs championship, Aaron Jeffery (5-1) will take on Jo Vallee (7-3).

With a total of ten scheduled fights, this is by far the biggest event in the promotion’s history.

Prepolec, who will look to defend his title is coming off of a TKO victory over Scott Hudson at BTC 3 back in June of 2018. Since his debut in 2008, seven of his 15 wins have come by way of knockout or TKO, proving to be a dangerous striker. Fighting out of and currently living in Windsor, this fight is close to home for the champ, Prepolec, who looks to display his skills in front of his home crowd. His opponent, Demarce will bring the greater experience, debuting in 2008 and the carrier of over 30 professional fights, a number of those finished by way of KO, TKO and submission.

In the co-main event for the middleweight strap, Aaron Jeffery, who fights out of Niagara Falls, Ontario, is not far from the Burlington Training Center. Jeffery last competed at BTC 3, where he would earn himself the win by TKO and become the number-one contender. With multiple bouts scheduled and then canceling, Jeffery is ready to step his foot back inside the cage, and put his name on the currently vacant 185-pound title. Across from him stands Jo Vallee, who more recently has been up and down in regards to wins and losses, but has still obtained a record of 7-3, and looking for a new start within the rising Canadian promotion. Fighting out of Longueuil, Quebec, Jo has a number of fights under the TKO MMA banner, going 3-2 since 2016.
