Two more prospects have been added to UFC Nashville. Hawaii’s Martin Day and Chris Guitierrez are set to clash in what should be a banger of a fight.

Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA was the first to report the addition to UFC Nashville.

Martin Day is coming off a short notice loss in his promotional debut at UFC Beijing against Pingyuan Liu. In a close split decision fight that many thought Day won, he showed a good portion of his tool belt and his superb striking. “The Spartan” looks to get in the win column for the first time in his Octagon career after such a close fight.

Chris Gutierrez is coming off a loss in The Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale to Raoni Barcelos. A rear naked choke at the end of the second round put the prospect away. The fight still earned him another chance in the world’s biggest mixed martial arts promotion.

Back in November, we did an interview with Martin Day ahead of his fight at UFC Beijing. You can check that out on Spotify below, or wherever else you listen to your podcasts!

Stephen Thompson and Anthony Pettis are set to headline UFC Nashville, which takes place on March 23. Pettis, the former lightweight champion, is coming up from 155 to challenge the striking prodigy, Thompson. In addition to that, the co-main has a clash of heavyweights as Curtis Blaydes looks to rebound from his devastating knockout loss to Francis Ngannou. He’s taking on Justin Willis, who is coming off a career win over Mark Hunt.

Other notable fighters on the card include Jussier Formiga, the number one flyweight contender, as he takes on Deiveson Figueiredo, the number four contender. Maycee Barber is also making her return to the UFC, coming off a dominant win in her debut. Nasrat Haqparast is also set to return to the Octagon.
