KSW 45 saw the Polish promotion return to London, England, with Phil De Fries defending his heavyweight title against Karol Bedorf in the main event.

Fight fans in the UK had a big event of their own going down on Saturday night. At London’s SSE Arena at Wembley, Poland’s KSW returned, bringing the aptly named KSW 45: Return to Wembley. Atop the card, heavyweight champion Phil De Fries. The British slugger was set to defend his title against Poland’s Karol Bedorf, himself a former KSW champion.

The second of two title fights on the card, meanwhile, saw welterweight champion Dricus Du Plessis face Roberto Soldic, a rematch of their April battle that saw Soldic lose the title. Soldic, who has won five championships in his twenty-plus fight career, was hoping for revenge in the immediate rematch against South Africa’s De Plessis.

KSW 45 also saw the launch of the promotion’s middleweight tournament, with Michal Materla taking on Olympian Damian Janikowski, and Marcin Wojcik facing Scott Askha.
