KGB Lee is coming to the UFC! Andrea “KGB” Lee has been one of the hottest female flyweight prospects outside the UFC. Well, she’s outside the promotion no longer. The LFA 125lb champion, who has also fought with Invicta FC, announced on Twitter that she has signed with the promotion, who are in the process of launching their women’s flyweight division. She’ll be making her debut on short notice against Kalindra Faria at UFC 216 in October.

MMA Fighting first reported the match-up. Lee later added “Much respect to Kalindra. I never duck anyone but I know my work is cut out for me here.”

KGB Lee, who was alternating fights between LFA and Invicta, also thanked Invicta President Shannon Knapp and matchmaker Julie Kedzie, saying “Thank you so much Juli without You and Shannon none of this would or could’ve happened.”

Lee (8–2) most recently defended her flyweight title at LFA 23 last Friday, winning via submission against Jamie Thorton. She has won four straight fights this calendar year, three of which came via stoppage.

Kalindra Faria (18-5) will also be making her UFC debut at UFC 216. The Brazilian has won three straight, most recently under the Titan FC banner. She captured the Titan FC bantamweight title earlier this month against Carina Damm, and will be dropping down in weight to fight Lee.

UFC 216 takes place October 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV. An interim lightweight title fight between Tony Ferguson and Kevin Lee serves as the main event.
