Former flyweight title challenger Joseph Benavidez is hurt, and off the UFC Fight Night 110 card. The Team Alpha Male fighter announced the news on his official Twitter account earlier today. The cause and nature of the injury were not disclosed.

The event is set to take place June 10 event at Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand. Opponent Ben Nguyen will now be looking for a dance partner as a result of Benavidez withdrawing.

Benavidez (25–4) has remained one of the hottest flyweight fighters in the UFC, having run up a six fight winning streak since facing Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson for the second time in December 2013. Most recently, he earned a split decision win against fellow former title challenger Henry Cejudo at the Ultimate Fighter 24 finale late last year. Benavidez and Cejudo were coaches on the show.

UFC Fight Night 110 is headlined by a heavyweight showdown between Derrick Lewis and Mark Hunt, who’s probably still wondering what’s up with his action figure.
