Dana White’s Contender Series Season 10 continues this week, with Episode 2 headlined by Oktagon MMA standout Kaik Brito taking on Namo Fazil of MVP MMA infamy.
Brazil’s Brito went 6-2 for Oktagon, now almost unquestionably the leading MMA promotion in Europe. He was a two-time Oktagon champ, winning the belt first in 2022, then leaving for an appearance on the Contender Series in which he lost against Oban Elliott.
Brito then worked his way back to the Oktagon title, defeating Ronald Paradeiser with a spinning back fist this past February. History now repeats itself as Brito again jumps from Oktagon to Dana White’s Contender Series, though he’s no doubt hoping for a different result.
Opposite Brito, Namo Fazil, who submitted Jake Babian at MVP MMA 1 (a.k.a. Rousey vs. Carano) back in May. There was a whole lot of trash talk leading up to that fight, with Fazil also calling out Mike Perry and Nate Diaz – who he almost certainly won’t get to fight should he make it to the UFC. He did call out Arman Tsarukyan as well, mind you.
