VIDEO: UFC 330 Ceremonial Weigh-Ins

The final face-offs are in the books, and now there’s nothing left to do but fight.

Islam Makhachev and Ian Machado Garry came face-to-face one last time Friday at the UFC 330 ceremonial weigh-ins, putting the finishing touches on a highly anticipated fight week ahead of their welterweight title showdown. With the talking, media obligations and weight cuts officially behind them, Makhachev, Garry and the rest of the UFC 330 card got one final look at their opponents before stepping inside the octagon Saturday night.

In the main event Makhachev’s quest to break Anderson Silva’s record for consecutive victories is nearly complete. A victory over Garry would net him win #17 and the famed UFC record which he’s already said will reach at least 20 victories.

For Garry it’s an opportunity to complete his own prophecy, becoming the UFC welterweight champion, and laying claim to being Ireland’s newest superstar.

In the co-main event it’s all about gold and ego. Strawweight champion Mackenzie Dern’s jiu jitsu prowess is unquestionable and undeniable. The former ADCC champion looks to continue showing the world that she is not just a ground expert, but a complete MMA fighter.

On the other side is Gillian Robertson who has taken the long route to the title going into the fight on a 5-fight win streak with victories over Michelle Waterson-Gomes, Amanda Lemos, Marina Rodriguez, and Polyana Viana. Now she hopes to bring back the gold as the first Canadian female to win a UFC title.

UFC 330 takes place Saturday Aug.15 from Philadelphia, PA.
