Nazim Sadykhov Speaks With His Fists And Not With Trash Talk

There hasn’t been too much trash talk between UFC lightweight Nazim Sadykhov and his opponent Nikolas Motta, but for the former the only language he needs is what happens in the cage at UFC Baku on Saturday.

“Anything he says or thinks he’s going to answer for it in the cage,” Sadykhov told reporters on Wednesday.

“When the cage door shuts we’re going to talk with our hands. That’s my favorite language.”

Sadykhov (10-1-1) isn’t the only Azerbaijani in the UFC. Fellow lightweight Rafael Fiziev is in the co-main event at UFC Baku. While he is a potential future opponent for Sadykhov he’s not looking to fight a fellow countryman unless he has to.

“I focus on one fight at a time in front of me. I have a solid opponent Saturday. I have a statement to make,” he said.

“In this fight game people from the same country fight each other all the time. I don’t really look at my friends or people that I know or my countrymen, which there’s only three of us, as competition. I’m focused on my next fight this Saturday and whatever’s going to be next after that I’ll be focused on that.”
