A rather interesting middleweight paring is set for UFC 319, as Michael “Venom” Page will face former title challenger Jared Cannonier at the Pay-Per-View event.
Promotion officials confirmed the booking following an initial report by Magic MMA Bets that specified the match-up, but not the intended date. The pairing has now landed on the Chicago PPV card, which takes place at the United Center on August 16, 2025.
Cannonier (18-8) sits ranked at #7 in the middleweight division, with the 41-year old reminding fight fans of the threat he poses by stopping Gregory “Robocop” Rodrigues back in February. That win snapped a two-fight skid; overall, Cannonier is 3-2 since losing a 2022 title shot opposite Israel Adesanya.
Bellator alum Michael Page (23-3) has been hot since arriving in the UFC last year. He’s picked up wins over Kevin Holland (at welterweight) and Shara Bullet (at 185lbs, becoming the first to defeat the Dagestani star). His lone loss in the UFC so far came to Ian Machado Garry; UFC 319 will mark MVP’s second straight fight at 185lbs.
Page is ranked at #15 in the 170lb division, and is not currently ranked at middleweight.
UFC 319 is headlined by a middleweight title fight that sees Dricus Du Plessis looking to defend his belt against the imposing Khamzat Chimaev. The following match-ups have been reported for the card:
- Dricus Du Plessis (c) vs. Khamzat Chimaev — for the UFC middleweight championship

- Alexander Hernandez vs. Chase Hooper
- Bryan Battle vs. Nursulton Ruziboev
