Professional Fighters League Announces Launch of PFL Pacific

The Professional Fighters League continues to expand its footprint, and on Monday announced the launch of PFL Pacific.

Coming on the heels of PFL Africa being officially announced, the promotion’s latest regional league joins PFL Africa, PFL Europe, and PFL MENA, all feeding into the PFL Global brand.

Promotion officials confirmed the news to Cageside Press on Monday, in conjunction with an official press release.

PFL Pacific will cover the entirety of Australia and New Zealand, with broadcast deals in place with Stan, the 9Network and 9Now in Australia. Under the newly announced deal, Stan is now the exclusive home for the entire PFL portfolio across Australasia, streaming live and on-demand via Stan Sport.

Select premium events, meanwhile, will be available on Stan Pay-Per-View. Other key PFL events will air free-to-air on the 9Network and 9Now.

As with PFL Europe and PFL MENA, which are already up and running, PFL Pacific will feature four annual events, with a tournament format in play. A 2025 debut date and location are expected to be announced in the near future.

The league also intends to bring the PFL Champions Series: Road to Dubai to the Australasia region.

“It has been a priority of ours to bring the Professional Fighters League to Australia and the Pacific region, delivering our world-class brand of MMA and the sport’s biggest stars to local fans,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray, quoted in Monday’s press release. “Through our landmark partnership with Stan, and extended reach via free-to-air coverage on the 9Network, we’re creating the most accessible MMA experience Australia has ever seen. With the launch of PFL Pacific, we’re also building a foundation for long-term growth and aiming to crown more Aussie champions than any other league over the next three years.”

In addition to PFL Pacific, PFL Africa launches later this year, with Dakota Ditcheva and Johnny Eblen in action at PFL Cape Town.
