Benoit Saint-Denis Responds To Mateusz Gamrot

UFC lightweight Benoit Saint-Denis isn’t backing down from anyone, much less someone saying he turned them down, following his victory over Kyle Prepolec at UFC 315 on Saturday night.

Mateusz Gamrot had taken to X to voice displeasure over allegedly being turned down.

“BSD turned down the fight next week, what’s wrong with you guys? Grow some balls, cowards!,” he wrote.

Saint-Denis (14-3) scoffed at the accusation at media day and again in his post-fight scrum.

“The only problem is we never got any offer for tonight,” Saint-Denis told reporters including Cageside Press.

“I wanted to fight tonight. Now it’s done and he know better than everybody. When you have an opportunity to fight you want to fight. You don’t do training camp for nothing. I came here to Montreal to bring BSD to Montreal. It’s to let the animal inside the cage have some fun.”

Gamrot has a fight booked, but Saint-Denis backs down from no one.

“Now we can talk. I don’t know what are the plans with the UFC with Gamrot. If he has any fight planned or anything like that. Anybody in the top 10, for me, is an honor and a privilege, he said.

“It’s going to be a war.”
