It’s been over a decade since the UFC visited Montreal, but that is about to change.
On Friday, promotion officials announced that the UFC would hold UFC 315 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec on May 10, 2025. The card will be the first Canadian date of the year, after trips to Toronto and Edmonton in 2024.
No fights have been announced for UFC 315, though tickets will go on sale on February 28.

The last time the octagon was in Montreal, home of famed MMA gym TriStar, the card was a bust. T.J. Dillashaw vs. Renan Barao had been expected to headline UFC 186 in April of 2015, but injury scuttled that. A flyweight fight between then-champ Demetrious Johnson and Kyoji Horiguchi took its place, but didn’t little to raise interest among fans used to the likes of Georges St-Pierre and Rory MacDonald being featured on major UFC events.
While there aren’t any Canadian UFC champions or even challengers at the moment, names like Charles Jourdain, Marc-Andre Barriault, Mike Malott, and Jasmine Jasudavicius have helped keep the flame alive for Canadian MMA. There’s a very good chance that any, or all, could take part in UFC 315.
Despite a decade having passed between visits, UFC 315 will mark the eighth trip to Montreal in the promotion’s history.
