It was already as much of a certainty as you can get, but on Thursday, the UFC made it official: UFC 307 will take place in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The event is set for October 5, 2024 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. A microsite on the promotion’s official website lists an onsale date of Thursday, August 2 for presale tickets.
While no fights were announced in conjunction with Thursday’s news, a number of match-ups have already been reported for the date. Among them, Kayla Harrison will face Ketlen Vieira in her second fight with the promotion. The former two-time PFL champ and two-time Olympic gold medal winner picked up a dominant victory in her debut at UFC 300, defeating Holly Holm.
That’s a key fight for the women’s bantamweight division; the only fight more meaningful has also been rumored for the card: champ Raquel Pennington defending against rival Juliana Pena. That fight, though not confirmed, is a strong candidate to join the line-up.
The card will be the third time the UFC has visited Salt Lake City in three years, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they had made a single stop, in 2016.
To date, UFC 307 features the following match-ups:
- Movsar Evloev vs. Aljamain Sterling
- Marina Rodriguez vs. Iasmin Lucindo
- César Almeida vs. Ihor Potieria
- Chris Curtis vs. Kevin Holland
- José Aldo vs. Mario Bautista
- Carla Esparza vs. Tecia Pennington
- Kayla Harrison vs. Ketlen Vieira
