Fresh off signing a new four-fight contract with the UFC, bantamweight Garrett Armfield has revealed the opponent and date for his next fight: Brady Hiestand.

Armfield (10-3) is set to take on Hiestand (7-2) at a UFC Fight Night event on June 15, 2024. The Marathon MMA athlete, who is 2-1 under the UFC banner, announced the news on social media recently.

The Missouri-based fighter has won back-to-back bouts over Toshiomi Kazama and TUF double-champ Brad Katona, the latter victory coming at UFC 297 in January. At the time, Armfield told Cageside Press and other media outlets that he was looking negotiate a new deal.

That new deal arrived Monday. A day later, Armfield was announcing his latest fight.

Brady Hiestand, who fell to Ricky Turcious in The Ultimate Fighter 29 finale, has also won his last two fights. He’s notched victories over Fernie Garcia and Danaa Batgerel, fighting once per year the past two years.

By the time he steps into the cage this June, it will have been roughly 14 months between fights for Hiestand. The TUF vet has seen two bouts fall through in between, pulling out of dates with Da’Mon Blackshear and Rinya Nakamura.

The UFC’s June 15 card does not have a main event announced; the following match-ups have been reported for the event, expected for the Apex in Las Vegas:

  • Alex Perez vs. Tagir Ulanbekov
  • Jimmy Flick vs. Nate Maness
  • Adam Fugitt vs. Josh Quinlan
  • Garrett Armfield vs. Brady Hiestand
