Marcin Tybura Doesn’t Mind The UFC Waiting For Jones vs. Stipe

UFC APEX – The uncertainty at the top of the UFC heavyweight division doesn’t bother Marcin Tybura much as he prepares to face Tai Tuivasa at UFC Vegas 88 on Saturday night.

“I don’t mind it how it builds. I think, for me personally, I would love to see Jon Jones fighting Tom Aspinall,” Tybura told reporters on Wednesday.

“But whatever happens there, and whatever brings attention to the heavyweight division…I’m not an expert how to keep it at the highlight. I’m just part of it. For me it’s all good.”

Tybura (24-8) will face Tuivasa in the main event of UFC Vegas 88 at the UFC APEX. What he’ll be watching out for against Tuivasa is rather obvious.

“Tai’s (exiciting) fighter. Fans loves him for sure. First (thing that) comes to my mind the heavy hands storming forward, and try to finish. Dangerous like every second of the fight,” Tybura said.

Heavy hands, heavy weights, and still we see most heavyweight bouts go the distance these days. Tybura doesn’t mind a quick fight or a full one.

“I don’t mind, cardio-wise, going five rounds. I’ve been doing this before, and I’m pretty much sure about my cardio,” he said.

“But my approach is always go for the finish. Try to finish the fight, and I’m hoping to get that done.”

Will Tybura do a shoey with his opponent following the fight?

“I’ve never done it. If there will be like a brand new shoe maybe I will,” he said.
