ONE Championship heavyweight Mikhail Jamal Abdul-Latif is set to make his promotional debut against Kang Ji Won at ONE Fight Night 18 on Jan 12 in a 3-round heavyweight battle, sources tell Cageside Press.
Abdul-Latif (3-0) had originally been booked for his debut against Anderson “Braddock” Silva in July 2022, but he withdrew from the bout due to injury. He will enter ONE Fight Night 18 on a 3-fight wins streak with two finishes by knockout.
Won (6-2) will welcome a fighter to ONE Championship for the second consecutive time. He comes off a loss to Ben Tynan at ONE on Prime Video 16 in Nov 2023. With just one fight in the each of the last two years respectively he will be back in action early in 2024.
ONE Fight Night 18 will be headlined by a kickboxing bantamweight bout between Superlek Kiatmoo9 and Elias Mahmoudi in a main event title fight.
