UFC Sao Paulo Hit By Injury Bug, Onama vs. Alexander Scratched

This coming Saturday’s UFC Sao Paulo card has been hit by the injury bug, with the featherweight match-up between David Onama and Lucas Alexander scratched.

Onama announced the news on social media, writing that “Unfortunately due to injury, I’ve had to pull out of my upcoming fight in São Paulo. I apologize to Lucas and his team. I know my health comes first and I hope to be back in the octagon next year. Thank you all for the love and support.”

The nature of Onama’s injury has not been disclosed.

Alexander subsequently confirmed that the fight was off, noting that he was hoping to have fight news soon.

“Hey guys unfortunately my opponent got hurt and my fight was cancelled! Thank you for your support and love, you guys are the best!!! I hope to get fight news soon!!”
