Teenage prospect/UFC bantamweight Raul Rosas Jr. told us just last month that he had fight news coming soon.

That news arrived on Wednesday. Looking to bounce back from his first loss, Rosas (7-1), who signed with the promotion as a 17-year old after winning on Dana White’s Contender Series last year, will face Terrance Mitchell (14-3) at Noche UFC on September 16, 2023.

ESPN Deportes was first to report news of the booking.

Rosas Jr. fell to Christian Rodriguez back in April, losing a one-sided unanimous decision in his sophomore trip to the octagon. Prior to that, he had handily won his debut over Jay Perrin, earning a submission win inside of a round.

Alaska’s Mitchell lost his promotional debut at UFC 290 in July, where he was finished via ground n’ pound by South Africa’s Cameron Saaiman.

Noche UFC, being held to coincide with Mexican Independence Day, takes place September 16, 2023 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. A women’s flyweight championship rematch headlines as Alexa Grasso runs it back with Valentina Shevchenko.
