Damon Jackson Sees Tough Fight In Quarantillo, Sees “Dog” In Him

Nashville, TN – UFC featherweight Damon Jackson has his hands full in the octagon this weekend when he faces Billy Quarantillo at UFC Nashville on Saturday night.

“He’s a dog. I think a lot of people have asked me that like preparation for him, and things like that. You have to see the fact that he’s willing to go all three rounds. He’s down a lot of times where he’s losing, and then he comes back,” Jackson told reporters on Wednesday.

“I’ve been in that same position. I respect him a lot in that way. I think he’s a pretty solid guy. I think that he’s a great fighter, but he’s got that dog in him and that’s something you can’t teach.”

Both men are coming off a knockout loss, Jackson against Dan Ige and Quarantillo against Edson Barboza.

“It’s been motivational from the day I took the loss to Dan. I’m not that guy that sits back and makes a lot of excuses. I really just wasn’t 100% for that fight, but once I committed to it and I said I was going to be there, there was no way I would ever even think about turning it away,” Jackson said.
