Gift From One Champ To Another: Poatan Gives Glover A Motorcycle

They’re training partners, friends, family, whatever you want to call them it’s clear that there is a very close bond between former UFC champions Alex Pereira and Glover Teixeira.

Pereira posted a video to his YouTube channel on Monday showing the former middleweight king receiving a motorcycle in front of Teixeira’s house, sneaking it into his garage, then surprising his friend when he arrives at home.

Teixeira (33-9) retired following his loss to Jamahall Hill at UFC 283 in Jan in Brazil at UFC 283. He now focuses on coaching. The future UFC hall-of-famer was the second oldest champion in UFC history at 42-years-old trailing only Randy Couture who was champ at 45.

Teixeira holds victories over Jan Blachowicz, Thiago Santos, Anthony Smith, Jared Cannonier, and Rashad Evans to name a few.

Pereira (7-2) is coming off dropping the middleweight title to Israel Adesanya in their rematch at UFC 287. Many thought the UFC would book the trilogy, in MMA, right away to settle the score, but Pereira had other plans following the loss.

‘Poatan’ announced his move to the light heavyweight division shortly after, and booked a bout with Blachowicz at UFC 291 in July in Salt Lake City as a part of a stacked PPV card.
