ONE Championship returns to action Friday night (Saturday morning local time) at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, with a big rematch topping the card.
ONE Fight Night 7 sees John Lineker and Fabricio Andrade run it back, after their first meeting was brought to a screeching halt prematurely due to an accidental low blow. Lineker, who had missed weight ahead of the fight, had been stripped of his bantamweight title, and was ineligible to win it back.
That left only Andrade capable of claiming gold; the low blow and resulting No Contest left the championship up for grabs.
This time out, there were no mistakes at the scales, giving “Hands of Stone” Lineker a chance to recapture his title.
In the ONE Fight Night 7 co-main event, meanwhile, Tawanchai P.K.Saenchai put his featherweight Muay Thai championship on the line against Jamal Yusupov. Also in action, former featherweight champ Martin Nguyen faced off with Leonardo Casotti, while Danielle Kelly was up against Ayaka Miura in a submission grappling match.
