Three title fights topped the ONE on Prime Video 6 card on Friday night in Bangkok, Thailand, but no matter how good any of those fights turned out to be, it was hard not to focus on who wasn’t at the show.
Victoria Lee, whose untimely passing on December 26 became public knowledge just days ago, would have been making her fourth appearance for ONE Championship at the event. She had been expected to fight Zeba Bano, a match that saw the 18-year old the heavy favorite.
It seems almost trivial to worry about the loss of Stamp Fairtex’s fight with Anissa Meksen with that in mind. The pair had been expected to face off in a mixed rules bout, only for Meksen to no-show weigh-ins on Thursday. In place of Meksen, Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak was bumped up to face Stamp, under kickboxing rules.
In the meantime, the show must go on. Superbon was set to defend his featherweight kickboxing title in the main event, while a flyweight kickboxing title fight served as co-feature. Grappling gold was also on the line, while former double-champ Aung La N Sang faced Gilberto Galvao in MMA action.
Full results from the event, kicking off at 8PM ET at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand, can be found below.
