Welterweight action has been lined up for UFC San Antonio, and Trevin Giles will get to fight at home as a result.

Giles (15-4), a San Antonio, Texas native, will face Preston Parsons (10-3) in a 170lb match-up at the Fight Night event on March 25, 2023.

Parsons confirmed the news on social media, after an initial report by Eurosport’s Marcel Dorff.

For Giles, the hometown scrap finds him looking for a second straight victory, after the 30-year old secured a unanimous decision win against Louis Cosce last September. Prior to that, Giles had dropped back-to-back fights against Dricus Du Plessis and Michael Morales.

Giles has amassed a 6-4 record since entering the UFC in 2017. He holds a notable win over current light heavyweight contender Ryan Spann outside the promotion.

Preston Parsons is also coming off a single victory, against Evan Elder last April. Entering his third UFC fight against Trevin Giles, Parsons is 1-1 in the promotion to date.
