ONE on Prime Video 4 arrived Friday night, streaming on Amazon’s Prime Video, and with a welterweight title fight capping off the night.
However, with Kiamrian Abbasov missing weight for the event, he became the latest major MMA champion to be stripped of his title on the scales. As a result, only lightweight champ Christian Lee, moving up in weight to hunt a second title, was eligible to win the championship at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Following the miss, ONE Championship officials released the following statement:
“Kiamrian Abbasov vs Christian Lee to now be at a catchweight of 186.25 lbs (both parties have agreed). Kiamrian is no longer the champion and is ineligible to retain the belt on Saturday. If Christian wins, he will be the new Welterweight Champion.”
In the ONE on Prime Video 4 co-main event, Muay Thai star Rodtang looked to defend his flyweight title against Joseph Lasiri, while familiar names like Cosme Alexandre, returning from an extended absence, and former champ Kevin Belingon also appeared on the main card.
ONE on Prime Video 4 goes down on Friday, November 18, 2022 (Saturday, Nov. 19 locally) streaming live on Amazon Prime Video starting at 8PM ET.
