Las Vegas, NV – UFC heavyweight Chase Sherman lost out on a fight at UFC Vegas 64 when Josh Parisian suffered a medical emergency, but he now gets a different match-up when he takes on Waldo Cortes-Acosta at UFC Vegas 65 on November 19th.

The new booking was first reported by ESPN Deportes.

Sherman (16-10) had been ready to go against Parisian on Nov. 5th, but once his opponent fell out it seemed as though he’d be out for quite a while.

Enter Cortes-Acosta (8-0) who is coming off a decision victory over Jared Vanderaa in October. He makes a rather quick turnaround to take on Sherman in Las Vegas.

The card is headlined by another heavyweight matchup between Derrick Lewis and up-and-comer Sergey Spivak. Co-main will be a welterweight bout between Muslim Salikhov and Andre Fialho.
