Paige VanZant will not fight this Saturday at BKFC London, the promotion’s debut in the British capital. And she’s not at all happy about the situation.

Yesterday, news emerged stating that the 28-year old VanZant (8-5 MMA, 0-2 BKB) was out of her fight with Charisa Sigala in London at BKFC 27. No reason was given for the bout falling through, though a report by MyMMANews suggested the fight would be rescheduled for October.

One day later, VanZant has opened up about the situation on social media, somewhat. Without explicitly stating why the fight was off, “12 Gauge” said it was not her doing — and she’s “pissed off” about the entire situation.

“THIS IS OUT OF MY CONTROL!!! I WENT AN ENTIRE CAMP AND WEIGHT CUT TO BE PULLED A WEEK OUT!!!!”

“I DID NOT PULL FROM MY FIGHT!!!! I WAS PULLED! I AM PISSED OFF AND HEARTBROKEN! I WORKED MY F*CKING ASS OFF TO BE PULLED A WEEK BEFORE I AM SUPPOSED TO COMPETE!!!!!”

The all-caps statement is probably an indicator that VanZant is seriously unhappy about the entire situation.

BKFC London will move forward, with Michael “Venom” Page facing “Platinum” Mike Perry in the main event. The card takes place this Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the OVO Arena in London, England.
