Ahead of her sophomore outing in the UFC, against Invicta FC vet Victoria Leonardo at UFC London, Mandy Bohm had made a move from Germany to Las Vegas to further her career.

Saturday, she’d look to prove that the move had paid off. The flyweight pair was the second fight on the UFC London card at the O2 Arena in London, England, and both ladies were looking to return to the win column.

In the end, one would secure their first victory inside the octagon.

Both fighters took the center of the octagon after a touch of gloves. A right hand from Leonardo started the fight, and Bohm countered with a kick. Both girls clinched, and Leonardo put Bohm against the fence. After a minute, Bohm reversed Leonardo and put her against the fence. 2:30 left in the round, and they got back to the center of the octagon. Bohm landed a knee followed by an elbow. Both ladies threw a kick. A hard low kick from Bohm got Leonardo’s attention. Less than a minute left, and Leonardo landed a takedown, but Bohm got right back to her feet. The round ended with Leonardo holding Bohm against the fence.

Round two started with a right hand from Leonardo. A spinning wheel kick from Leonardo missed. A 1-2 from Bohm came next. Leonardo almost took Bohm down, but the German fighter defended. Leonardo, however, put Bohm against the fence. Bohm got off the fence and landed an elbow but ate a hard jab. Leonardo landed a nice combo and then clinched Bohm. Leonardo wasn’t doing much with the clinch, just controlling Bohm. Bohm missed a right hand, and then Leonardo went for a combo but didn’t miss. Bohm landed a body kick that hurt Leonardo, but Leonardo clinched immediately to end the round.

Round three started with a combo from Leonardo. A low kick from Bohm. Bohm landed a hard right hand, but Leonardo immediately clinched. Bohm locked up a standing guillotine while on the fence, but Leonardo defended. Just under three minutes left, and the flyweights got back to the center of the octagon but not for long because Leonardo clinched Bohm again. The referee broke the clinch, and the girls got back to exchanging kicks and punches. Bohm landed another body kick and a close elbow. Less than 30 seconds left, and Leonardo landed a takedown to end the fight.

No surprise on the scorecards, as Leonardo had the edge in all three rounds.

Official Result: Victoria Leonardo def. Mandy Bohm by unanimous decision (30-37, 30-27, 30-27)
