A pair of UFC middleweights will collide in October, looking for a possible top 15 ranking.

Brendan Allen announced on his Instagram story earlier this week that he will be fighting Krzysztof Jotko on October 1 at a yet-to-be-announced UFC event. He’d later add a second post confirming the booking.

Allen (19-5) is 2-0 in 2022 thus far and will be looking for his third win in October. He kicked his year off by submitting Sam Alvey on short notice and then followed that up with a very close unanimous decision over Jacob Malkoun at UFC 275 last month. “All In” is riding a two-fight win streak since his upset loss to Chris Curtis last December.

Jotko (24-5) is also riding a two-fight win streak since his loss to Sean Strickland in 2021. In October, the Polish fighter defeated Misha Cirkunov via a split decision. He followed that up by snapping Gerald Meerschaert’s win streak in April by defeating him via unanimous decision.

Both middleweights are very close to the top 15 rankings, and a win could leapfrog them into those rankings.

While no location has been announced for the October 1, 2022, Fight Night event, the rumor is that it will take place at the UFC Apex.

The fight card currently looks like this:

  • Mackenzie Dern vs. Yan Xiaonan
  • Leah Letson vs. Chelsea Chandler
  • Vinc Pichel vs. Jesse Ronson
  • Cheyanne Vlismas vs. Tabatha Ricci
  • Randy Costa vs. Guido Cannetti
  • Brendan Allen vs. Krzysztof Jotko
