“The Doctor” was in at UFC Vegas 55, as Uros Medic went up against Omar Morales on the Fight Night event’s preliminary card.
Uros “The Doctor” Medic, a 2020 Contender Series product, had split a pair of fights in 2021, and was looking to bounce back from a loss to Jalin Turner when he entered the octagon at UFC Vegas 55.
Morales was looking to rebound as well, after falling to Jonathan Pearce in his last outing.
With the fight underway, it was Medic holding center, throwing a high kick only for Morales to answer back in kind. Medic fired a combo; Morales swung wide with a counter. The counters worked a little better a moment later for Morales, as he landed right by the ear. The pair would engage in this sort of back-and-forth battle throughout most of the opening round — with Medic finding success late, clipping Morales just before the bell!
Round two saw more of the same. Morales put some kicks at the end of his combos. Medic worked behind his jab, and continued to hold center. He flashed a side kick up top that Morales dodged. With just over two minutes to go, Medic sat Morales down with a left hand! Morales popped back up, but Medic connected with a left again! Moments later, he dropped Morales a second time — another left, just what the doctor order.
