Bellator MMA heads to Hawaii this weekend, returning to the island state for the first time since 2019. Two big back-to-back shows feature a combined three title fights, plus the launch of the promotion’s bantamweight grand prix.

Up first, Bellator 278 on Friday, headlined by a women’s flyweight title fight between Juliana Velasquez and Liz Carmouche. The undefeated Brazilian champ, 12-0 to start her career, has been dominant to date in the promotion — but did have a closer fight than ever before against Denise Kielholtz, in her first title defense last year.

Carmouche, meanwhile, has seemingly been on a collision course with the champ since arriving in Bellator in 2020. The two-time UFC title challenger has looked as dominant as ever, and at 38-years old, no doubt knows that this could be her last chance to claim gold in a major promotion.

Weigh-ins for Bellator 278 take place Thursday in Honolulu — check below for results.
