Scouting Prospects for Dana White’s Contender Series Season 6

Jamey Lyn Horth Wessels

Flyweight | 31 | Squamish, British Columbia, Canada | 5-0 | Win streak: 8 | 3 KO/TKO, 2 Submissions

Among all the many top Canadian prospects, Wessels’ name is brought up a lot. In her last fight, she won the LFA title. Before that she won the BFL title. Wins over Jade Masson-Wong, Mayra Cantuária, and Corinne Laframboise prove she’s UFC-ready. Wessels was supposed to fight on the Contender Series a few years back but VISA issues held that back. Wessels is a name I expect to hear a lot this year and I bet she’s on the upcoming season of DWCS.

Vinicius de Oliveira

Bantamweight | 26 | Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil | 17-2 | Win Streak: 6 | 12 KO/TKOs, 2 Submissions

Oliveira is the current UAE Warriors champion with one title defense under his belt. Really, he should just be signed straight out to the UFC.  He’s on a six-fight win streak and with his exciting style he’s one of the most deserving prospects out there. Oliveira is an absolute wild man when he’s in the cage. He reminds you of a lesser version of fellow Brazilian UFC fighter Michal Pereira. Oliveira is an all-action freestyle-type athlete who will always put on a show. He’s must-see when he steps in the cage.
