Scouting Prospects for Dana White’s Contender Series Season 6

Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady

Lightweight | 26 | Dallas, Texas but from Jordan | 12-3 | Win streak: 2 | 7 KO/TKOs, 2 Submissions

Al-Selwady is only 2-2 in his last four fights but has looked solid lately. If you look at what he did before that however, it’s hard to deny him. Three fights into his career Al-Selwady won the Desert FC vacant featherweight title. He later moved on to compete for Brave CF and won their lightweight title as well. He now trains out of Fortis MMA and fights for LFA.

Valentine Woodburn

Middleweight | 28 | Apopka, Florida but born in Jamaica | 6-0 | Win streak: 9 | 5 KO/TKOs, 1 Submission

For pure entertainment value Woodburn would be really fun on Dana White’s Contender Series. Woodburn is 5’8″ of pure strength and power. Woodburn trains out of a solid camp in Fusion Xcel Performance out of Ocoee, Florida. Last year he knocked out Miles Amos to win the Combat Night Pro middleweight title. Last fight he beat 45-fight veteran Joilton Lutterbach. I doubt he’s UFC level right now but he brings the Contender Series vibe.
