UFC London: Jack Shore Plans To Put Timur Valiev Away And Dispel The Narrative That He Is Boring

Jack Shore is planning stopping his opponent at UFC London

“Tank” is finally fighting in front of a crowd again, and it’s essentially a home crowd. The Welsh fighter has only fought once in front of a sold-out crowd throughout his four-fight UFC run, and that was his UFC debut.

He is expecting the roof the come off when he walks out.

“It’s as close to home as I’m going to get, especially for my boys and all my supporters are coming up from Wales and England. I got a lot of English supporters as well, expect the roof to come off,” Shore told Cageside Press in a recent exclusive interview. “You know, Paddy [Pimblett]’s obviously a superstar now, and they’re gonna go mad for [Tom] Aspinall, but I guarantee you my ovation is going to be up there with the best of them. Especially when the classic walkout track drops, it’s a crowd-pleaser. So, yeah, an electric atmosphere from the crowd. When the crowd is bumping, the fight tends to be bumping as well, so, no doubt they’ll put on a show for the cameras, and then I’ll put on a show for them.”

Shore intends to put on a show as he faces tough fellow prospect Timur Valiev this weekend. The undefeated fighter wants to finish Valiev and get back to finishing ways. His last two fights have gone to a decision, and because of that, the fanbase has labeled the Welsh fighter boring. Shore doesn’t like that label and plans to remind everyone.

“Yeah, well, the Hunter [Azure] fight wasn’t a boring fight. That was f*cking back and forth scrambling all the way through, and then the last fight, I fought the guy with one arm! I mean, I could’ve pulled out like, I had to fight him with one arm. What do you want me to do?  Look, we’re in the business where we double our money if we win… imagine what I could have done if I had two arms. So, you know, hopefully this fight I’m going in there injury-free, and I get the show a little bit more than that killer instinct,” Shore said.

Up until his last two fights, Shore had finished all but one of his opponents.

“People forget quickly,” Shore said. “There are so many fights every weekend; people forget quick, you know, like, you have the casuals or the ones saying ‘you’re a bum or I’m boring.’ Mate, like I was f*cking 13-0 with 12 finishes like what are you talking about? You know, I mean, listen, my finish ratio is a lot better than 90% of the guys in the UFC.”

Shore plans to shut the critics and the casual fans up by finishing Valiev this weekend.
