UFC 271’s Israel Adesanya: A Work of Art

Houston, TX — Israel Adesanya has always been confident, but there is a whole new level of confidence this fight week from the middleweight champ.

To be fair to Robert Whittaker, a former champion and the man who Adesanya dethroned to win the title, he definitely seems to be in good spirits. But the confidence he exudes pales in comparison to “The Last Stylebender.”

The middleweight champ has been flying high for a long time now, but it seems as though what we are witnessing this week is Izzy being in the midst of ascending to new heights.

It’s not just the flash of the dynamic unpredictable, perfect technique skill set, it’s the facial expressions, the movement of his head, where his eyes are looking, and the looks he gives his opponents. There are just so many Jedi mind tricks he is pulling off, both in the octagon and outside of it, that simply cannot be captured from watching the comfort of your own home.

Israel Adesanya is a special guy. He’s a special guy, doing special things, and the thing that’s really amazing about it all, is that we are just at the tip of the iceberg.
