Family Business: A Look At Sibling Prospects in MMA

Tony Laramie is the younger brother of UFC fighter TJ Laramie. Tony fights at 125 and last December he made his LFA debut with a statement win. He’s 6-2 and on a four-fight win streak. Tony has a really good striker and can wrestle as well like his brother. Flyweight is a shallow division in the UFC so I expect Tony to complete the Laramie duo in the UFC this year sometime.

Out of Poland Cezary Oleksiejczuk is the current FEN welterweight champion. The same promotion his brother Michal fought at before signing to the UFC. Cezary is a thriving young man fighting at the age of just 22. Lately, he’s fought good competition and is on a four-fight win streak. He’s overall well-rounded with a high ceiling and has the same if not more potential as his brother.

Darian Weeks was signed to the UFC last year. Darian has a ton of potential, and his younger brother Jacob Weeks is a young amateur at 2-0. There hasn’t been a lot of work shown from the young man, but that’s because he has two first-round finishes in two fights so far. Jacob seems to have a funky style and is more of a wrestler/grappler.

UFC bantamweight contender Aspen Ladd has a younger brother. That brother Shealor Ladd is a light heavyweight with a 4-0 record. He made his debut last year and fought four, obviously winning them all. His first two wins he finished the fight and the last two he won on the scorecards. Still very raw but that’s expected being just 19-years-old.
