The main event of UFC Vegas 46 features an opportunity for Giga Chikadze to assert himself as a top featherweight contender as he faces fifth-ranked Calvin Kattar. Chikadze has not lost since joining the UFC in 2019, riding a three-fight knockout streak into the contest including a win over Edson Barboza last time out. Kattar lost to Max Holloway in a Fight of the Night in his last fight, ending a two-fight win streak. All but one writer picked Chikadze.

Heavyweights clash in the co-main event with Jake Collier facing Chase Sherman. Collier has lost two of three since returning to the sport following a three-year hiatus. Sherman is trying to put an end to a two-fight losing streak, bringing his Octagon record to 3-7. All but two writers picked Sherman.

Flyweights will precede the heavyweights as Rogerio Bontorin squares off with Brandon Royval. After a 2-0 start to his UFC tenure, Royval has fallen to two of the best the promotion has to offer, Brandon Moreno and Alexandre Pantoja. Bontorin missed weight at bantamweight last time out, but still beat Matt Schnell. Royval was unanimously picked.

Katlyn Chookagian seeks a flyweight title shot as she battles Jennifer Maia. Chookagian has won three of four since her last shot against Valentina Shevchenko, winning her two most recent fights. Maia got back into the win column after her title shot with a win over Jessica Eye.  All but one writer picked Chookagian.

Viacheslav Borshchev makes his promotional debut against Dakota Bush at lightweight. Borshchev is 5-1 with three-straight wins including an appearance on the Contender Series. After an impressive run in LFA, Bush lost his promotional debut to Austin Hubbard last April. Bush was picked by five of eight writers.

Opening up the UFC Vegas 46 main card will be Bill Algeo against the debuting Joanderson Brito. Algeo is 1-2 in the Octagon facing a fairly high level of competition with his losses to Ricardo Lamas and Ricardo Ramos. Brito is on an 11-fight unbeaten streak with ten finishes. All but two writers picked Algeo.
