For the second week in a row, the UFC rolled into the Apex in Las Vegas with a Fight Night card of minimal depth.

Sure, you had former heavyweight champ Andrei Arlovski, still going strong at 42. And the UFC’s own version of Cal Ripken Jr., Jim Miller, was entering fight #38 for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. But as star power went, that was about it. In the UFC Vegas 40 main event, Aspen Ladd moved up a weight class, after missing weight for her last fight, to face Norma Dumont at 145lbs. Ladd was replacing Holly Holm, who had been the A-side of the headliner without question.

Of course, what looks thin on paper can deliver some thrilling fights — last week’s Fight Night card had showed that once again. Could the promotion pull it off two weeks in a row? We’ll find out Saturday, but first up, Friday’s weigh-in. Results can be found below!

While no one missed weight on Friday, Julian Marquez did not weigh in. Per UFC officials, he suffered a non-COVID related health issue, and the fight with Jordan Wright is off.
