Ji Yeon “Fire Fist” Kim (9-3-2 MMA, 3-3 UFC)

Flyweight (125lbs): 3-2 (UFC), Missed weight 2x

Bantamweight (135lbs): 0-1 (UFC)

Ji Yeon Kim is a four-year veteran of the UFC. Kim spent the entirety of her MMA career outside of the UFC fighting between the weights of 130lbs-135lbs. However, when the 5’7″ “Fire Fist” arrived in the UFC, after losing her debut at bantmaweight, she dropped down the flyweight division and has not looked back since.

Ji Yeon Kim missed weight in back-to-back fights beginning with the weigh-in ahead of her loss to Antonina Shevchenko back in late 2018. Kim weighed in at 130.5lbs for that bout and in her very next fight against Nadia Kassem would again weigh in heavy at 128lbs. This fight took place in October of 2019 and this time Kim was able to secure a second round body-shot stoppage.

Kim is a big flyweight with her 5’7′ height and extra-long 72″ reach. Along with the fact the Ji Yeon Kim is about to turn 32, she will definitely be a fighter to watch on the scale ahead of UFC Vegas 36 as she is once again cutting down to the 125lb division.
