One Fight Scratched, Two Fighters Heavy for Bellator 259

The Bellator 259 weigh-in on Thursday did not go off without a hitch.

Two fighters missed weight for the card on Friday, including Leandro Higo, who missed the bantamweight limit for the second straight occasion. Additionally, one fight, featuring Jackson-Wink MMA prospect Christian Edwards, was scratched when the fighter did not receive medical clearance to compete.

As a result of that cancellation, the flyweight bout between Valerie Loureda and Hannah Guy has been bumped up to the main card.

On the plus side, the main event title fight between Cris Cyborg and Leslie Smith is a go, with both fighters successfully making weight.
